If you had asked me 30 years ago while filming “Night of the Demons“ what it meant to be a woman of horror, I’d have chuckled! My thinking at the time, in addition to my cast and crew-mates, was that our sweet little movie would get some play and then sit on video store shelves collecting mostly dust, not a cult following. Hello 2018,..30 years later!
So, you ask what does it mean to be a woman of horror? Well, I am honored to be asked and I couldn’t be more surprised or proud. To think that our campy, fun, quintessential 80s horror film has spawned two sequels, a “big“ budget remake and scores of fans young and old, is beyond awesome! Thank you to those that have loved our movie and who continue to watch and share. Horror fans I have discovered, are THE best! You are genuinely enthusiastic and you are what it means to me, to be a woman of horror!
