The Grue Rume interviews Horror Icon and Scream Queen Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp)!!

Hello Grue-Lings,

My Instagram Live IGTV, The Grue Rume recently did a interview with horror icon and scream queen, Felissa Rose from the Sleepaway Camp fame.

Besides her work in horror, she also was in other films. Felissa played Denise Savage in Savage in “Limbo,” Karen in “Phone Sex,” Renée in David Henry Hwang’s “M.Butterfly,” Willie in “This Property is Condemned,” Desdemona in William Shakespeare’s “Othello,” and many more. Film work includes Woody Allen’s Another Woman (1988), Pain and Suffering, The Night We Never Met (1993), and MTV’s The Party Phone Series opposite Adam Sandler.

Felissa was asked to reprise her role Angela in Sleepaway Camp II: Unhappy Campers and Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland but turned them down because she enrolled to be in the Tisch School of the Arts at the New York University and asked NYU if she could put off her early decision acceptance for a year but they said she’d have to re apply and there was no guarantee of her getting in again.

She went to acting school with Adam Sandler and became friends for a while and did a short comedy on MTV together called The Party Phone Series.

Returned to screen acting during the millenium by starring in a short independent horror-thriller that was under 15 minutes long called “Birds of a Feather” with cult actor Christopher Cooke.Then she got other roles in independent horror feature films. Has performed in numerous off-Broadway productions too.

Her first role was in the 1983 horror film Sleepaway Camp reprised her role as Angela in Return to Sleepaway Camp (2008). She is currently married to CKY member Deron Miller. She is Metal Head.
