Joey Ambrosini & Chris Whitcomb To Star In The Gangster Short Film ‘The Jackpot Hit’!!


Fresh off their stellar performances in VMI’s newest horror film, Burial Ground Massacre, Joey Ambrosini (Damon’s Revenge) and Chris Whitcomb (Pitching Tents) have been set to star in an upcoming short film called The Jackpot Hit.
The film is about two crooks who take the risk of invading a card game by the local mafia.
The movie is currently in pre-production and planned for filming in 2022 in Monroe, Connecticut with a fantastic cast assembled.
Michael Giovannini (Pay Day) will direct the film. Joey Ambrosini will produce the film with Joe Samonek (Massacre Manor). Ambrosini wrote the screenplay.
Executive producers are Michael Giovannini and Rocky Ciarrocchi (Panther Homecoming). Associate producers are Black Mark (Blood Harvest) and Douglas Maxwell Myer (Preacher Six).
Giovannini Productions will distribute the film and is working on production with Gruemonkey.
Giovannini stated: “The Jackpot Hit is the most ambitious project I have directed to this date. I am excited to face any challenges thrown my way during production. I am especially grateful for being given the opportunity to direct a film like this.”
Joey Ambrosini and Chris Whitcomb will be playing the lead characters, Billy (Ambrosini) and Jacolby (Whitcomb). The film will also feature Charles Rosenay (The Sadist) as the mob boss opposite Tommy Fury (Elizabeth Carter) and Chris Baldyga (A Little Dream). There will also be a special appearance by Sama Fernands (An Inappropriate Affect).
Ambrosini stated: “I have always loved the gangster movies and I think my love for the genre really sparked that creativity I used to write the script. But, I’m very excited to play the lead character and to work with everyone.”
Giovannini Productions’ most recent project is a short film called Pay Day. The film stars Joey Ambrosini and Edward Dirgo (The Bastard’s Son) and was written by Joey Ambrosini. This is Ambrosini’s second time working in a film by Giovannini Productions.
