Celebrity Picks: Charles Chudabala (Ugly Sweater Party, Lilith)!!

Hello Grue-Lings,

I am so happy that today for Celebrity Picks we have the very talented actor and extremely sexy man, Charles Chudabala. I first saw Charles in his amazing role as Cliff in Ugly Sweater Party. Let me tell you, after seeing how hot he was in that film, I needed a cold shower. But moving on. Charles loves horror film and has starred in a lot of horror films and series including: Restoration, Survive, 2 Jennifer, Gehenna: Where Death Lives, #RIPSarahBarker (TV Series), Grindsploitation 2: The Lost Reels, Anomaly, Paranormal Central TV Show (TV Series), Death House, From Jennifer, Irrational Fear, Scratch, Grindsploitation 4: Meltsploitation, Lilith, Welcome to Hell, Malvolia: The Queen of Screams (TV Series), 60 Seconds 2 Die: 60 Seconds to Die 2, For Jennifer, Morbid Moments with Malvolia (TV Series), Ugly Sweater Party, and Serena Waits. He also has horror films in post and pre production and completed including: Seven Boxes, Vengeance Girl, Paranoia Tapes 5: REWIND, Cold Blooded, Agora, Black Widow, Desert Moon, and Ed and the Living Dead. Charles is so talented, but expecting him in a lot more horror films and other films. Below is Charles Chudabala’s Favorite Horror Films:

.

.

.

MISERY:

As an 8 year old child, I used to beg my parents to rent it for me again and again. Kathy Bates’ performance is everything! I memorized all of her lines and used to perform scenes from Misery at recess. This film is classic suspense and psychological horror. It is a masterpiece and my favorite horror film of all time. I’m still waiting for “Misery’s Return!” (Laughs)!

.

.

.

Pan’s Labyrinth:

When I first saw Pan’s Labyrinth, I thought it was kid’s movie. While, its stars a child actor (who’s performance was excellent); this was not a kid’s movie at all. This is a horror film and probably Guillermo Del Toro at his best. Its nightmarish images are unsettling and stay with you long after the film is finished. Blending fantasy elements with the horror’s of an unsafe world (reality), made this film unforgettable. This is a true work of art, and scary tale.

.

.

.

THE DESCENT:

This film made me feel insanely claustrophobic and at times I couldn’t breathe. Spelunking (cave exploration), has claimed hundreds of lives. The premise alone, is scary enough for this film to thrive, but mix in, unknown entities in tight spaces… this is the stuff that could actually happen in- and that’s scary as hell.

.

.

.

THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL:

This is the movie I wanna make one day! Filmed in 2010, it takes place in the 1980s, and pays homage to the satanic cult “panic” films of that era. Ti West, you’re a genius. This film is untouchable and will withstand the test of time. I highly recommend any horror fan to watch this creepy movie. Beautifully executed.

.

.

.

THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT:

This was my obsession when I first discovered the mockumentary released as a marketing stunt prior to the film’s release. They got me good, and the truth is, I wanted to believe it was all real. This film was an event, and probably my first conspiracy “dive” as a teenager. Blair Witch Project will always be a trailblazer and the “little movie that could…”

.

.

.

ROSEMARY’S BABY:

“All of them witches.” I have an affinity for the classic satanic cult stories, and I’m willing to guess many horror fans would also add Rosemary’s Baby to their top 8 list! I love this film! And that musical score… is haunting.

.

.

.

THE GRUDGE:

If you are a true fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy), you would know that this was her first lead role in a horror film, after the end of the long running series “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” This film made me want to go to Tokyo, and experience haunted houses in Japan. In my opinion, “The Grudge” is a great example of Japanese horror made for an American audience, done right! Word of caution: Please just stick to the first one in the trilogy- you’ll thank me for it later (Laughs).

.

.

.

I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER:

How can I complete my top 8 List without including the 90’s teenage slasher “I Know What You Did Last Summer” Can we just take a moment and appreciate this ensemble: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Philippe? Just Wow! I can’t count the number of times Ive watched this during my high school days, to my adult life- it has campiness, that I never noticed until now (Laughs), but you gotta appreciate the creative drive from that era, to crank out a new villain with a sometimes, farfetched lore, each year! I’m proud to be a part of the 90s and receive these “annual gifts”
