Watch Courtney Love and Melissa Auf Der Maur Perform Hole Songs!!


Basilica Hudson celebrated its Pioneering People fundraiser with a tribute to Courtney Love called “A Tribute: Celebrating the Magic and the Power.” Love and Melissa Auf der Maur who is a former Hole band member and co-founder of Basilica Hudson went on stage to do some Hole songs.  They did “Doll Parts” and “Miss World” with the Rock Academy Rebel Girls and the Hold Steady’s Tad Kubler, as well as “Softer Softest” with Faith No More’s Roddy Bottum on piano. 

There was tribute videos from John Waters, Michael Stipe, Natasha Lyonne reading lyrics to Hole’s “Teenage Whore,” Marina Abramovic, and more. The event was produced by Auf der Maur and artist Joe Mama-Nitzbberg. It was to celebrate Hole’s 20th anniversary of Hole’s Celebrity Skin.
