Uma Thurman to star in a horror film and horror series!!


Uma Thurman will be starring in the Netflix original horror series Chambers from director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (American Horror Story, The Town That Dreaded Sundown).

However, the closer she gets to uncovering the truth about her donor’s sudden death, the more she starts taking on the characteristics of the deceased — some of which are troublingly sinister.”

Deadline is reporting that Uma will play Nancy, “the mother of the heart donor who forges a hesitant relationship with the young recipient only to find out her daughter may not be as dead as she thought.” From Stephen Gaghan. Written and created by Leah Rachel. Leah co-showruns with Akela Cooper. The show has a 10-episode straight-to-series order.

Lois Duncan’s Down a Dark Hall is being directed by Rodrigo Cortes (Red Lights, Buried). Starring:  Anna Sophia Robb (The Reaping), Isabelle Fuhrman (Orphan), Taylor Russell (Netflix’s Lost in Space), and Uma Thurman. That’s one hell of a creative team behind the scenes! It’s rated PG-13 rating for “for mature thematic content, terror and violence, some language including a sexual reference, and smoking.” No release date has been announced.

Based on Lois Duncan’s 1974 YA novel of the same name, the supernatural mystery centers on a troubled teen with a haunted past who is committed to Blackwood, a mysterious school for gifted and disturbed girls. Silver plays Jules Duret, the son of Madame Duret, the music professor at the school.
