Mara is a new horror film that looks creepy as hell. Here is a clip and trailer.

Olga Kurylenko (Oblivion) as Kate Fuller, a criminal psychologist who is investigating the death of a man who was apparently strangled in his bed. When Fuller questions the man’s 8-year-old daughter, all she can get out of her is the name “Mara.”
Further digging on Kate’s part reveals the existence of an entire community of people who claim to be the prey of a shadowy, ancient demon that kills people while they sleep — and paralyzes them beforehand.

Director Clive Tonge apparently based the movie on the real-life phenomenon of sleep paralysis, during which people are conscious but unable to move as they are either falling asleep or waking up. The sensation is sometimes accompanied by sounds like roaring, hissing, or even voices, as well as hallucinations of other figures in the room around or above them.
The creature in the clip is played by Javier Botet. Movie opens on demand and theaters on Sept. 7.
