John Boyega to co-produce UK horror movie A Spriggan!!

Deadline is reporting that Star Wars actor John Boyega to co-produce UK horror movie A Spriggan.
The film is currently in the process of finding its cast and it’s unknown whether Boyega himself may appear in the film He will executive produce from writer-director Keir Burrows, through his Upper Room Productions banner.

A Spriggan is set to follow “a recently widowed mother who returns to her father’s isolated hotel only to find a sinister folklore presence haunting the land.”

The folk lore of spriggans are said to be relations of the trolls of Scandinavia, depicted as grotesque, old men with large, child-like heads. They can often be found in old ruins, cairns, and barrows guarding buried treasure.
