Immortal Macabre: A terrifying cinematic event that will scare you, shock you, and make your skin crawl. NO B.S., NOT for the faint of heart!!

These are the nightmarish events that a young woman rushes to piece together as her comfortable life rapidly crumbles into bloody fragments. Are these merely random and unconnected dreams, or is this horror part of a hidden tapestry, known only as...IMMORTAL MACABRE.

They are making this film because they love horror.
They have packed it full of mystery, suspense, gore, the occult, demonically disquieted deadskis, a batshit crazy old woman, and much more. It’s psychological and it’s darkly hilarious.

.

Horror is often considered a junk food genre.

Fear of death is a universal human characteristic and horror allows us to face it, to laugh at the absurdity of it, to share in it, and ultimately accept it. They cannot fucking WAIT to share this picture with you.

Shane’s first home movie system was an RCA Selectavision disk player – an analog read-only tech the size of a record album with picture and sound quality just below VHS.
Beside being a bona fide cinephile, Shane has been involved with the IT industry for well over a decade with experience in programming, engineering, database development, project management, and systems administrator.
We are happy to have Shane’s technical expertise as a Producer on Immortal Macabre. He lives in Portland with his lovely wife and pets, and knows that the Drive-In Will Never Die.

Their award winning visual effects supervisor Neil Taylor is an artist in every sense of the word. His experience overlaps practical, physical, in-camera effects, and cutting-edge CGI. Neil’s work while a part of Laika’s Rapid Prototype Department contributed to the company’s Science and Engineering Academy Award for the 3D printing technology Laika uses to create puppet faces. After working on Laika’s The Boxtrolls and Kubo and the Two Strings, Neil served as a Visual Effects Producer on his twin brother’s movie Neil Stryker and the Tyrant of Time. Soon after he was back at Laika in their Visual Effects Department for their next film, Missing Link. He has already contributed to the Immortal Macabre dripping blood title card effect and we are excited for him to bring his broad professional experience to the rest of the production.

Evan Hayes began acting in late 2011 after appearing on the pilot episode of Grimm as an extra. It was on that day he discovered that being on set was too thrilling and creatively stimulating to ignore. He gave up all plans to pursue traditional post-graduate schooling and instead dedicated his life to mastering the art of performance. Since then, he has had roles in everything from YouTube videos and staged readings to indie passion projects and film festival darlings in and around his home state of Oregon. Evan continues to hone his craft, with an eye towards one day working in Los Angeles and abroad with challenging scripts and genius storytellers. Evan plays Amy’s husband Rick Taylor in Immortal Macabre. His powerful performance can be seen in the concept trailers for the film.

They have done a considerable amount of pre-production work for this feature length film project. They have a lined script, a schedule, a full shot list, storyboards, script breakdowns, and a budget. Immortal Macabre was designed to be a low budget horror film and the budget was drafted with meticulous care as a result.
