Gay horror film Rift being remake by Orion!!

Erlingur Thoroddsen, director of the original, will do the script for the remake for this Icelandic Gay Horror Film. 
Orion Pictures has picked up the remake rights to Rokkur (Rift). It will be remade to a English-Language film. Branded Pictures Entertainment’s J. Todd Harris and Marc Marcum will produce and Orion’s Dan Kagan.

The movie follows two men whose broken relationship is tested as they are haunted by a supernatural entity awakened by their grief.

Rokkur(The Rift) generated buzz for breaking new ground being praised for it’s  LGBTQ story, something not seen often in genre movies. It earned Outfest’s Artistic Vision Award, CinEuphoria’s Top 10 of the Year Audience Award and has a 100 percent fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. Thoroddsen also wrote and directed the Icelandic horror movie Child Eater. He is repped by Verve and BMK-ENT.
