Border2Border Entertainment’s Charlie David’s press release on Shadowlands!!

PRESS RELEASE FROM BORDER2BORDER ENTERTAINMENT’S CHARLIE DAVID ABOUT SHADOWLANDS:

.

.

Perhaps you’ve seen photos on my Instagram, Twitter or Facebook about my new miniseries Shadowlands. I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many awesome actors, painters, musicians, and technicians to bring these stories to life.

It’s really been an honor and as a first time director of scripted work – I was ‘all of the emotions’ throughout the past year working on this show. Anxious, scared, excited, determined, inspired, terrified, defeated, and on top of the world. As the old saying goes, you don’t know what you don’t know until you’re faced with it!

There were many things written in the book or the script and then as a team we had to figure out, ‘right, now how are we gonna do that?’

It’s been a long road from the book of short stories that originally came out in 2010 to now, with our release right around the corner.

As a thank you for your ongoing interest and support of my storytelling I want to offer you a discount to watch Shadowlands on Vimeo.

At check-out just use promo code Border2Border for 25% your rental or purchase of the series.

If you live in Canada – you can get a free month of OUTtvGO using promocode Shadowlands.

I also want to share with you first that this miniseries was created with ‘Easter Eggs’ meaning as you watch carefully you may notice themes, music, props, or dialogue from characters that is related to what’s going on in another story.

So keep your eye out and please write me on my Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or in the comments section of Vimeo when you spot an egg! (Be sure to write ‘Spoiler Alert’ before we dive into what you’ve found).

Want the official guide to all Easter Eggs? You’re in luck, because we’ve created that for you with the help of Proud Times Magazine. Get the free Shadowlands special edition here and discover all the Easter Eggs!

Shadowlands explores love in three stories – a narcissist grasping to comprehend it, a couple renegotiating a relationship, and star-crossed lovers mourning its loss.

.

The series begins in 1928 with Alex, a plastic surgeon hell-bent on perfection, hosting a house party with an assortment of colorful guests. Amid romantic misfires it becomes apparent that the only person Alex is interested in is himself.

Fast forward to 1951 and a gay military couple exploring the idea of opening their relationship while on a remote camping trip when they encounter a mysterious stranger.

The stories conclude in 2018 with a painter who in mourning the loss of his lover, becomes obsessed with creating a realistic painting of him. The resulting piece is so beautiful and life like that he is drawn under its spell.
